RANDAZZO, EDITH GIROUARD 
Jan. 10, 1934 ~ July 30, 2012

A Mass of Christian burial will be held Wednesday, August 1, 2012, at 1 p.m., 
at the Church of the Assumption in Franklin for Mrs. Edith Girouard Randazzo, 
78, a native of Loreauville and a longtime resident of Franklin, who passed 
away Monday, July 30, 2012, at 10:02 a.m., at Iberia Medical Center. Burial 
will follow in the Franklin Cemetery. Father Gregory Cornier will officiate the 
services.

Edith was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great grandmother who 
enjoyed reading, line dancing and most of all, spending time with her family. 
She was a member of the Church of the Assumption, the Catholic Daughters Court 
Assumption and the Ladies Altar Society. She will be deeply missed by all who 
knew her.

Survivors include her five children, Steve Randazzo and his wife, Cindy, of 
Opelousas, Garnet R. Arceneaux and her husband, Kirk, of Franklin; Craig 
Randazzo of Leonville; Mark Randazzo and his wife, Karen, of New Iberia; and 
Amber R. Carter and her husband, John, of Alexandria; one brother, Lloyd 
Girouard of New Iberia; two sisters, Rita LeBlanc of New Iberia and Gert 
Provost of New Iberia; nine grandchildren, Stephanie Randazzo, Kristie Beard, 
Lance Gautreaux, Ashley Carter, Shannon Mitten, Heather Randazzo, Jacob 
Randazzo, Shea Randazzo and Olivia Arceneaux; four great grandchildren, Taylor 
Dupre, Alyssa Duff, Ella Beard and Carter Mitten; as well as numerous nieces 
and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph S. Randazzo Jr.; her parents, 
Alleif Girouard and Rita Gondron Girouard; one brother, Jess Girouard; and one 
sister, Ruth Gachassin.

A gathering of family and friends will be held Tuesday, July 31 at Ibert’s 
Mortuary in Franklin, from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m., with the rosary being prayed at 
7 p.m. Visiting will resume Wednesday, at 9 a.m., at Ibert’s until dismissal at 
12:30 p.m.

Serving as pallbearers will be Mark Randazzo, Jacob Randazzo, Craig Randazzo, 
Shea Randazzo, Taylor Dupre and Dan Mitten.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Ibert’s Mortuary, Inc. of Franklin.
