VERDINE, CHARLES C., JR.

Charles Cornelius Verdine Jr., 78, a resident of Carson, California and a 
native of Morgan City, died June 28, 2012 in Carson.

Visitation will be at Jones Funeral Home in Morgan City Wednesday, July 11, 
from 9 a.m. until service at 10 a.m. 
Entombment will follow in the Morgan City Mausoleum.

Mr. Verdine served two terms in the United States Army. The East St. Mary 
Funeral Squad will perform at graveside.

Charles leaves to cherish his memories his loving and devoted wife of 56 years, 
Gladys Singleton Verdine of Carson; two sons, Chris Verdine and wife, Denise 
Verdine, of Los Angeles, California and Craig Verdine Sr. and his wife, Sylvia 
Verdine, of Patterson; three sisters, Mrs. Donald (Maryann Verdine) Wade and 
Carol Verdine Johnson, both of Los Angeles, and Jennifer LeBlanc of Houston, 
Texas; two brothers, Gerald (CarolSue) Verdine and Russell Peter Verdine, both 
of Carson; three grandchildren; and a host of relatives, nieces, nephews and 
friends.

Jones Funeral Home of Morgan City/ Franklin/ Jeanerette is in charge of 
arrangements.
