ANDERSON, MARY NELL STALLINGS 
March 24, 1924 — August 7, 2012

Mary Nell Stallings Anderson, 88, a native of Ringling, Okla., and resident of 
Stephensville, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2012, at her residence.

Mary Nell is survived by her sister, Kathryn Harris; nieces and nephew, Amy 
Varnado and her husband Darryl, Ann Bunch and her husband Troy, Susan C. 
Stallings, Mark Stallings, Elissa Poole, Diane Ruyffelaere-Sternberg and her 
husband Jon, and Patsy C. Ashby; and great-nieces and nephew, Mary-Hannah and 
Scotlyn Varnado, Love Poole and Eric Bunch.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerre B. Anderson; her father, Jeptha 
Rufus Stallings Sr.; her mother, Louzelle Ashby Stallings; three brothers, 
Sullivan G. Stallings Sr., Jeptha R. Stallings and Frank A. Stallings; and two 
nephews, Byron Stallings and Sullivan G. Stallings Jr.

Mary Nell, a life member of Eastern Star and a member of Trinity Episcopal 
Church, touched a lot of lives. Her presence and love made a lot of changes to 
others, always in a positive manner. 

The family would like to express their deep gratitude to Martina “Tina” 
Hernandez and Theresa Romero for their compassionate care of Mary Nell during 
her lengthy illness; to Angel Care Hospice of New Iberia for their assistance 
during Mary Nell’s final days; and to Dr. Lianter Albert for his loving care.

The family will hold private services for Mary Nell at a later date.
