BODIN, JANICE SINGLETON 
Feb. 5, 1943 ~ August 10, 2012

A Memorial Mass was held Monday, August 13, 2012, at 3 p.m., at Sacred Heart of 
Jesus Catholic Church in Baldwin for Mrs. Janice Singleton Bodin, 69, a native 
of Houston, Texas and a longtime resident of Baldwin, who passed away Friday 
morning, August 10, 2012, with her family by her side.

Father Gregory Cormier will officiate the Mass. 

Private burial will be held at a later date.

Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Melvin J. Bodin of Baldwin; three 
children, Mark A. Bodin and his wife, Sheila; Derrick A. Bodin Sr.; and Jolinda 
A. Latham, all of Baldwin; three grandchildren, Derrick A. Bodin Jr., Brandon 
D. Latham and Karla A. Latham; her mother and step-father, Pearl Lenz and 
George Lenz; and one sister, Pearl Mary S. Jacobsen.

She was preceded in death by her father, George Singleton.

A gathering of family and friends was held Monday at Sacred Heart from 1 p.m. 
until 3 p.m.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial donations be made to St. 
Joseph Hospice, 1003 S. Hugh Wallis Rd., Ste. F2, Lafayette, Louisiana 70508, 
or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Ibert’s Mortuary, Inc., of Franklin.
