All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgenweb.org/volunteers/copyright.shtml ======================================================================= NOTE: If a Photo is available for an obituary record, a reference note will be included with the record. ======================================================================= CHAUVIN, MARIE ODELL ‘DELL’ DUPRE Feb. 28, 1921 ~ Aug. 17, 2012 Funeral services were held Monday, August 20, 2012, at 2 p.m., at Ibert’s Mortuary in Franklin for Marie Odell “Dell” Dupre Chauvin, 91, a native and lifelong resident of Franklin, who passed away Friday, August 17, 2012 at the Franklin Health Care Center. Burial will follow in the Franklin Cemetery. Fr. Lloyd Benoit will officiate the services. Dell was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who enjoyed tending to her plants and flowers. She will be deeply missed. Survivors include four sons, Roy Chauvin Jr. of Carthage, Mississippi; Jimmy Chauvin and his wife, Jamie L. Chauvin, of Franklin; David Chauvin and his wife, Trudy H. Chauvin, of Franklin; and Johnny Chauvin and his wife, Kayla L. Chauvin, of Franklin; three daughters, Sandra Louviere and her husband, Gerald Louviere, of New Iberia; Jane Sinitiere and her husband, Ronald Sinitiere of Franklin; and Susan Tourney and her husband, Johnny Tourney, of Lafayette; one brother, Dudley Dupre and his wife Margie B. Dupre of Franklin; one sister, Irene Dupre of Franklin; 17 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Anthony Chauvin Sr.; her parents, Ferdinand J. Dupre Sr. and Valerie Bergeron Dupre; four brothers, Amos Dupre, Ferdinand J. Dupre Jr., Eugene Dupre and Marshall Dupre; two sisters, Annabelle LeBlanc and Lucille Theriot; and one daughter-in-law, Brenda Culter Chauvin. A gathering of family and friends was held Monday at Ibert’s Mortuary from 11 a.m. until time of service at 2 p.m. Arrangements have been entrusted to Ibert’s Mortuary, Inc. of Franklin. ===================
