July 31, 1920 ~ August 6, 2012 Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 8, 2012, at 2 p.m., at The Crossing Place Fellowship for Mr. Wallace “Jake” Dantin Jr., 92, a native and resident of Franklin, who passed away at 6 a.m. on Monday, August 6, 2012, at his home with his wife at his side. Burial will follow in the Franklin Cemetery. Pastor Brad Bullock will officiate the services. Mr. Jake was a veteran of the United States Army, having served during World War II. He was also a member of the V.F.W., Post 4201. Survivors include his wife, Jacqueline Dantin of Franklin; one daughter, Julie Castille and her husband, Wayne, of New Iberia; one son, Robert Paul Dantin of Centerville; two brothers, Charles Dantin and his wife, Dolores, and Thomas E. Dantin, all of Franklin; two step-daughters, Lisa Pellerin of Ricohoc and Melissa Dotto and her husband, Tony, of Tampa, Florida; five step-sons, Marty Granger and his wife, Monique, of Toledo Bend; Dale Granger of Lafayette; Dennis Adams and his wife, Carolyn, of Charenton; Mark Adams of Franklin; and Jeffery Adams of Franklin; as well as numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Marie Louise Talbot Dantin; his second wife, Joyce Granger Dantin; his parents, Wallace Dantin Sr. and Julia Romaire Dantin; one brother, Wilson Dantin; and two sisters, Marian LeBlanc and Alice Clark. A gathering of family and friends will be held Wednesday at The Crossing Place Fellowship from 11 a.m. until time of service at 2 p.m. Serving as pallbearers will be Kimberley Bott, Sarah Castille, Dennis Adams, Mark Adams, Jeffery Adams, and Phil Naquin Jr. Arrangements have been entrusted to Ibert’s Mortuary, Inc. of Franklin. ===================
