She was born in Algiers, Louisiana on February 19, 1925, to Mary and Anthony Incavido. Genevieve was educated at Holy Name of Mary Catholic School. After graduation from high school, she began working at the Naval base station in Algiers before moving to Franklin, Louisiana in 1946, after her marriage to Joseph F. Domino. Jennie was a devoted wife of forty-five years to her husband, and a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved her family very much and always enjoyed talking about their accomplishments. Jennie was especially proud of her grandchildren and felt so blessed to be able to see and hold her great- grandchildren. She will be remembered for her strong Catholic faith, her love and generosity to family and friends, her creative artistic talents, and her wonderful culinary skills. Jennie’s kitchen was her favorite place to be and she truly enjoyed preparing delicious food for her family and friends. Jennie was a very faithful member of the Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Franklin, Louisiana, before moving to Beaumont five years ago. While a resident of Franklin, she attended daily mass and everyone knew that the aisle seat in the first row on the “Blessed Mother’s side” of the church was her seat. Prior to the decline of her health, “Ms. Jennie,” as she was affectionately known to many people, was a faithful adorer of the Blessed Sacrament in the Marianite Chapel in Franklin. Also, Jennie was an active member of the Catholic Daughters of America, Court Assumption, the Altar Society, and was instrumental in organizing the annual St. Joseph Altar. Each year, she faithfully prepared the stuffed artichokes and provided the cannoli and black olives for the celebration in honor of Saint Joseph. “Ms. Jennie” will be remembered for the delicious food she prepared and the luscious cakes and desserts she baked. She was particularly famous for her delicious meatballs and tomato gravy and for her artichoke-green bean casserole recipe, which she generously made and shared for many parish dinners. In her younger years, Jennie enjoyed the hobby of ceramics and created many beautiful objects of art, which she usually gave away to family and friends as gifts. Jennie also enjoyed crocheting and made beautiful afghans for each member of her family. She loved to read and had an extensive cookbook collection. For many years, Jennie worked alongside her husband in their family business, Domino’s Grocery, which was the oldest grocery store in Franklin, Louisiana. Jennie will definitely be remembered as a “people person” who was a very friendly, sociable person; she never met a stranger. Jennie is survived by her only child, Joe Domino and his wife, Linda; grandchildren, Frank Domino and his wife, Tamara; and Jennifer Domino Bellah and her husband, Chad; great-grandchildren, Frankie Domino, and Brady and Ben Bellah; nieces, Toni Lynn Bergeron and Patti Borona Ibert; and godchild, Darlene Scelfo. Jennie was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Josephine Bergeron; and by her beloved husband, Joseph Domino. Due to declining health, Jennie moved to Beaumont approximately five years ago to be near her family. Jennie’s family would like to extend their thanks and appreciation to the staff of Collier Park Assisted Living, to Dr. Santos Soberon and the doctors and nurses at Christus Hospital St. Elizabeth, to Mr. Ben Mazzara, Wanda Harrington, Chaplain Eddie Tubbs, and the caring staff, nurses, and aides of Calder Woods Skilled Nursing. Special appreciation also goes to Buckner Hospice, Dr. Khan and Nurses, Wendy McElroy and Sheri Wagner for the professional and compassionate care that they extended to our mother. The family would like to extend their appreciation, most especially, to “Ms. Jennie’s” loving and faithful caregivers, Cherry Robinson and Queen Cassimere. We would also like to express our sincere gratitude to the devoted Eucharistic Ministers from St. Jude Thaddeus, especially Loretta McKinley, who befriended and faithfully brought Holy Communion to Jennie. The family also expresses sincere gratitude to Reverend Monsignor Jeremiah McGrath; Jennie’s adopted pastor during her years in Beaumont, and to Reverend Antony Paulose for their faithful visits, their prayers, and their administration of the holy sacraments to Jennie. A Rosary will be recited at 5:30 p.m., Tuesday, August 7, 2012, at Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont, followed by a gathering of her family and friends until 8:00 p.m. A visitation followed by a Rosary led by the Catholic Daughters will begin at 12:30 p.m., Wednesday, August 8, 2012, at the Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, 915 Main Street, in Franklin, Louisiana. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 p.m. with interment to follow at Franklin Cemetery, under the direction of Broussard’s. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Emergency Aid Center, Post Office Box 17, Franklin, Louisiana 70538; Catholic Charities of Southeast Texas, 2780 Eastex Freeway, Beaumont, Texas 77703; or Some Other Place, P.O.
