Burial will follow in Beau Pre Cemetery in Jeanerette. The Rev. Clyde Crappell will officiate the services. Frank was a veteran of the United States Navy, enlisting at the age of 17, having served from July 1957 to September 1960. In his early years, he worked for Columbian Chemicals, working as much as he could in order for his wife to complete her college education. He later retired from Arco Oil and Gas Co. Offshore Division. Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Audrey E. Phillips Ficarotto of Franklin; his daughters, Wendy Lynn Carter and her husband, Clyde, of Brevard, North Carolina; Laura Beth Adams and her husband, Stephen, of Houston, Texas; and Susan Marie Smith and her husband, Scott, of Opelousas; eight grandchildren, Joshua Carter and his wife, Mallory; Courtney Carter, Benjamin Adams, Paul Smith, Bethany Adams, Hudson Adams, Christopher Smith and Noelle Adams; one great grandson, Harvey Carter; two brothers, Ciro “Zeke” Ficarotto Jr. and John Anthony Ficarotto; one sister, Mary Theresa Benoit; five sisters- in-law, Evelyn Ficarotto, Esther Ficarotto, Barbara Eudey, Beverly Adams and Patsy Phillips; three brothers-in-law, Hulin Benoit, Gary Phillips and Garry Eudey; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ciro (Charlie) Ficarotto and Mary Benfiglio Ficarotto; one brother, Carmello Ficarotto; as well as an aunt who was like a mother to him, Theresa Ficarotto. A gathering of family and friends will be held Tuesday at Ibert’s Mortuary, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., and again Wednesday at First United Methodist Church, from 9 a.m. until time of service at 10 a.m. Serving as pallbearers will be his sons-in-law, Clyde Carter, Stephen Adams and Scott Smith; his grandsons, Joshua Carter, Benjamin Adams, Paul Smith Hudson Adams and Christopher Smith; and his nephew, Tony Ficarotto. The family asks that memorial donations be made to St. Joseph Hospice, 103 Ridgefield Road, Thibodaux, La. 70301.
