Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Ibert’s Mortuary, with the Rev. Bobby Hodnett officiating. Burial will follow in the Franklin Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Paul Proctor, Brian Voisin, Seth Guillotte, James Voisin Jr., Tristan Talbot, and Cordell Comeaux. A Franklin native and resident of Breaux Bridge for the past 14 years, Scott passed away Saturday, August 25, 2012, at 3:15 a.m., at his home following a courageous seven and a half year battle with cancer. He was the owner and operator of Scott’s Boat Rentals, LLC, having operated airboats from the age of 18 years old. Scott was an avid fisherman who also enjoyed crawfishing and crabbing. His true passion in life though was spending time with his wife and two daughters. Survivors include his wife of 17 years, Delene Langlinais Guillotte of Breaux Bridge; their two daughters, Alyson LeeAnn Guillotte and Alyssa Marie Guillotte of Breaux Bridge; his mother, Vera Voisin Compton and his stepfather, Donald “Sonny” Compton of Charenton; his father, Kenneth Morris Guillotte Sr. and his wife, Joan Chapman Guillotte, of Key West, Florida; his mother-in-law, Bertha Langlinais of Breaux Bridge; stepfather, Melvin “Pete” Chauvin; four half- brothers, Kenny Guillotte Jr., Kirk Guillotte, Brent Guillotte, and Seth Guillotte; two step-brothers, Cory Compton and Robert Compton; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Everett and Gertrude Percle Voisin; and his paternal grandparents, Morris and Rela Guillotte. The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to Dr. David Rinaldi and his staff and the staff of Heart of Hospice of Lafayette for the compassion and care given to Scott.
