RABALAIS, BETTY 
March 6, 1931 — August 5, 2012

A Mass of Christian burial will be held Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2012, at St. Joseph 
Catholic Church in Patterson for Mrs. Betty Arsena Rabalais, 81, a native and 
resident of Patterson, who passed away Sunday, Aug. 5, 2012, at her home. 

Burial will follow in the St. Joseph Cemetery.

Survivors include her sons, Robert Rabalais and his wife Alecia of Patterson 
and Steve Rabalais and his wife Colleen of Lafayette; a daughter-in-law, 
Nanette Rabalais of Lafayette; eight grandchildren, Chris Rabalais, Matthew 
Rabalais, Victoria Rabalais, Aimee Rabalais, Marc Rabalais, Lindsay Rabalais, 
Lauren Rabalais and Amanda Rabalais; six great-grandchildren; and numerous 
nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Merrill Jerome Rabalais; one son, 
Ronald Anthony Rabalais; her parents, Bernard “Ben” Arsena and Mary Carlino 
Arsena; one great-granddaughter, Sailor Reeves Rabalais; and one brother, Benny 
Arsena.

A gathering of family and friends will be held Tuesday, Aug. 7, at St. Joseph 
Catholic Church from 11 a.m. until the time of Mass at 1 p.m., with the rosary 
being prayed at 12:30 p.m.
