All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgenweb.org/volunteers/copyright.shtml ======================================================================= NOTE: If a Photo is available for an obituary record, a reference note will be included with the record. ======================================================================= BRAUD, VERA GRACE MILLER Jan. 26, 1932 ~ Sept. 22, 2012 A Mass of Christian burial will be held Tuesday, September 25, 2012, at 12 p.m., at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Centerville for Mrs. Vera Grace Miller Braud, 80, a native and lifelong resident of Verdunville, who passed away Saturday, September 22, 2012, at 11:15 a.m., at her home with her family at her side following a courageous battle with cancer. Burial will follow in the St. Joseph Cemetery. Father Ruben Primor will officiate the services. Grace was born January 26, 1932 to the late Robert E. Miller Sr. and Irma Cunningham Miller. On July 30, 1950, she married the love of her life, Talton L. Braud and began their new life together. Grace enjoyed cooking, growing flowers, as well her collection of angels, tea cups, and birds, but her true passion was spending time with her family and friends. Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Talton L. Braud of Verdunville; five children, Sandra McCoy and her husband, Gary McCoy, of Donaldsonville; Marsha Landry and her husband, Gary Landry, of Verdunville; Ronnie Braud of Verdunville; Sheila Adams and her husband, Dean Adams, of Morgan City; and Vanessa Pinho and her husband, Halsema Pinho Jr., of Patterson; 10 grandchildren, Craig McCoy; Melissa M. Coupel and her husband, Derrin; Heidi L. Rineholt and her husband, Craig; Kristi L. Judice and her husband, Brad; Alexas Braud, Kayla, Carley and Katelyn Adams and Hayden and Hunter Pinho; seven great grandchildren, Melanie, Morgan and Connor McCoy, Meghan and Reed Coupel and Madison and Gabrielle Rineholt; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Carl Joseph Miller, Gerald Miller and Robert E. “Bob” Miller Jr.; and two sisters, Ursula Miller Carmichael and Hilda Miller. A gathering of family and friends will be held Tuesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church from 10 a.m. until time of Mass at 12 p.m., with the rosary being prayed at 11:30 a.m. Serving as pallbearers will be Dean Adams, Gary Landry, Gary McCoy, Hal Pinho, Craig McCoy and Craig Rineholt. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to: American Cancer Society, Oklahoma City, OK,; St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Memphis, TN,; or Journey Hospice of New Iberia. Arrangements have been entrusted to Ibert’s Mortuary, Inc. of Franklin. ===================
