March 10, 1947 ~ Aug. 28, 2012 Memorial services will be held Tuesday, September 4, 2012, at 7 p.m., at Ibert’s Mortuary in Franklin for Mr. Dale Edward Franks, 65, a native of Bunkie and a resident of Verdunville, who passed away Tuesday, August 28, 2012, at 4:40 a.m., at his home. Survivors include his wife of 27 years, Teresa “Tess” Rivera Franks of Verdunville; his mother, Doris Blood Franks of Centerville; two sisters, Judy Williams and her husband, Ronnie of Franklin; and Linda Pichoff and her husband, Dexter, of Centerville; one brother, Stephen Franks of Centerville; four children, Beth Hebert and her husband, Reggie, of Lydia; Ross Franks of Centerville; Stephanie Pichoff and her husband, Kelly, of New Iberia; and Kimberly Grimes and her fiance’, Dwaine, of Laurelville, Ohio; nine grandchildren, two of which, Brittany Grimes and Matt Donegan, he raised from infants; as well as three great grandsons. He was preceded in death by his father, Dave Edward Franks. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made to help alleviate funeral expenses. A gathering of family and friends will be held Tuesday at Ibert’s Mortuary, from 5 p.m. until time of service at 7 p.m. The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to the staff of Heart of Hospice, especially to his nurse, Liz Delahoussaye, for the compassionate care given to Dale. Arrangements have been entrusted to Ibert’s Mortuary, Inc. in Franklin. ===================
