LYONS, JOHNNIE JR.

Johnnie Lyons Jr., 74, a native and a resident of Houma, died Friday, September 
7, 2012 at 12:20 a.m., at Terrebonne General Medical Center.

Johnnie was retired from The Terrebonne Parish Government.

Visitation will be Saturday, September 15, at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Houma, 
from 9 a.m. until funeral service at 11 a.m. 

Burial will follow in the Union Benevolent Cemetery in Houma.

Johnnie leaves to cherish his memories two daughters, Tina M. Slocum of Houma, 
and Cherlyn Jackson of Raceland; one brother, Freddy Lyons of St. Paul, 
Minnesota; and a host of grandchildren, relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, his mother, three brothers and a 
sister.

Jones Funeral Home of Morgan City/ Franklin/ Jeanerette is in charge of 
arrangements.
