SR. (March 24, 1922 - October 9, 2012) Charles W. Brown Sr., 90, a resident of Bayou L'Ourse, passed away Tuesday, October 9, 2012 at Patterson Healthcare Center. Charles was born on March 24, 1922 in Natches, Mississippi the son of Ollie C. and Roine Jackson Brown. He served his country proudly as a Staff Sergeant with the United States Army during WWII. He was a member of the American Legion Post 242 in Patterson. He loved to go fishing and he also loved working in his garden. He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his three children, Charles W. Brown Jr. and wife Ginger Abshire Brown, Patrick Wayne Brown Sr., and wife Maxine Guidry Brown, Deborah Bergeron and husband Roy J. Bergeron all of Bayou L'Ourse; eight grandchildren, Bonnie Fryou, Angela Kulka, Bridgete Brown, Becky Hebert, Brandy Brown, Patrick Brown Jr., Perry J. Comeaux, Jr., Charles Wayne Comeaux; twenty-nine great-grandchildren; two sisters, Jewel Bonds and Edna Perrin. He was preceded in death by his parents Ollie C. Brown and Roine Jackson Brown; wife Essie Mae Brown; five brothers; three sisters. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, October 12, 2012 at Twin City Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 11, 2012 at Twin City Funeral Home. Visitation will resume from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Friday at the funeral home. Charles will laid to rest in the Morgan City Mausoleum with military honors provided by the East St. Mary Veteran's Funeral Squad. Pallbearers will Gary Fryou Sr., Gary Fryou Jr., Patrick Brown Jr., P.J. Comeaux, Wayne Comeaux, Roy Bergeron, Taylor Brown. ===================
