BURKE, TERRY PAUL 

Terry Paul Burke, 65, of Franklin passed away peacefully on November 14, 2012 
at Morgan City Health Care Center.

Born in Franklin on November 6, 1947 to Dewey and Irene Burke, Terry was the 
youngest of five children, He grew up with the love of the outdoors, cooking 
with friends and family.

Terry enlisted in the Navy in 1965 where he served his country until 1968. When 
he returned home he went to work as a welder among other things. Terry would 
tell you he was a jack of all trades but a master of none. Terry loved to make 
people laugh and would help anyone in need, even if it meant he had to do 
without.

Terry was preceded in death by his parents Dewey Burke Sr. and wife, Irene May 
Burke Hebert; his stepfather, Elred Hebert; brother, Michael Burke; sister, 
Evelyn Burke Faulk; and niece, Allison Faulk.

Terry is survived by his son, Paul Burke, and wife, Leslie, of Patterson; 
sister, Letty Burke Curry and husband, E.J., of Franklin; brother, Dewey Burke 
Jr. and wife, Kathleen, of Breaux Bridge; two grandsons, Trent Houghton and 
Trace Burke of Natchez, Mississippi; and two granddaughters, Sydney and Kenan 
Vidrine of Patterson; as well as many nieces, nephews, loving friends and 
extended family.

Terry was a loving father, grandfather, uncle, brother and friend to all.

We would like to say a special thanks to the staff of Franklin Foundation, 
Tulane Medical Center, Morgan City Health Care and Journey Hospice for their 
loving care and support.

The family will have a Celebration of Life to honor Terry on December 15, 2012, 
at 10 a.m., at Calvary Bible Church in Centerville.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made in Terry’s honor to 
The American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 11454, Alexandria, Virginia 22312.
