SR. Nov. 8, 1922 ~ Nov. 4, 2012 A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Robert Joseph Judice Sr. of Centerville, St. Mary Parish, Louisiana, on Thursday, November 8, 2012 at 11 a.m., at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Centerville. Place of interment will be St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Centerville. Father Ruben Primor will officiate. Mr. Judice was born on November 8, 1922 and died four days short of his 90th birthday. The family invites visitors to call between the hours of 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. on Wednesday, November 7, 2012 at Ibert’s Mortuary in Franklin, with the rosary being prayed at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue on Thursday at 9 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Centerville. Mr. Judice, a native of Loreauville and resident of Centerville for 70 years, was an owner and president of Frank Martin Farms, the family farm, for 50 years. During World War II he served his country and was a proud patriot. As the patriarch of the family, he loved his wife and children and inspired his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He enjoyed reading books on World War II and on weather and climate, and he loved to dance to Cajun music. Survivors include his loving wife of 69 years, Mattie Martin Judice; his children, Robert Judice Jr. and wife, Carolyn, of Centerville, Carol Judice Coreil of Lafayette and Kevin Judice of Baton Rouge; nine grandchildren, including Sheri Hidgon and Wilson Judice of Centerville, Vincent Coreil III and Stacey Coreil Little of Dallas, Sandra Adams of Jeanerette, Margaret Burke of New Iberia, Robert Judice III of Hillsboro, North Carolina, John Coreil currently serving in the U.S. Army in Bagram, Afghanistan, and Gregory Judice of Baton Rouge; and 14 great grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters, Annie Lee Bourgeois of New Iberia and Nelda Martin of Morgan City; two brothers, Leeroy Judice and Charles Judice; and his stepmother, Louise Judice of Franklin. Mr. Judice was preceded in death by his parents, Elie and Lucy Vaughn Judice; two sisters, Goldie Viator and Margaret Paras; and two brothers, Harold Judice and Donald Judice. Serving as pallbearers will be Vincent Coreil III, Robert Judice III, Wilson Judice, Clifton Martin, Michael Robichaux and Percy Martin. Honorary pallbearers will be John Coreil and Gregory Judice.
