Funeral services will be held on Sunday, December 9, 2012, at a 2 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Edmond Catholic Church in Lafayette, for Henry J. “Jody” Boudreaux, 64, who died on Thursday, December 6, 2012 at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center in Lafayette. Entombment will be in Sts. Peter & Paul Mausoleum in Scott. The Rev. Gilbert Dutel, Pastor of St. Edmond Catholic Church in Lafayette, will be the Celebrant of the Funeral Mass and will conduct the funeral services. Lectors will be Jamie Beeman and Grant Guillotte. Giftbearers will be Beth Rodriguez and Jodi Robison. Jodi Bollich, organist and soloist, will sing ““Just A Closer Walk With Thee”, “Ave Maria”, “Amazing Grace”, “Be Not Afraid” and “Wind Beneath My Wings” for the services. Trumpeter will be Will Green. Survivors include his beloved wife of 23 years, Patricia Perron Boudreaux of Lafayette; one daughter, Angela Blanchard and her husband André of Eureka, California; two sons, Christopher Scott Texada and his wife Vickie of Honolulu, Hawaii and Taylor J. Boudreaux of Lafayette; four grandchildren, Zayne Blanchard, Mason Blanchard, Vance Blanchard and Gabriella Texada; two sisters, Patty Lou B. Hidalgo and her husband A.J. and Emily Guillotte and her husband Ovey J. “Jim” Guillotte; five nieces and nephews; two great nieces; and ten grand nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Marjorie Bayard Boudreaux. A native of Franklin and a resident of Lafayette since 1965, Jody Boudreaux graduated from Hanson Memorial High School in 1965, from USL (now ULL) in 1970, earning a degree in business and was currently retired from O’Neal Steel as a district manager. The family requests that visitation be observed in Martin & Castille’s Downtown Lafayette location on Saturday, December 8, 2012 from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. and on Sunday from 10 a.m. until time of service. A Rosary will be prayed by Deacon Art Bakeler on Saturday at 7 p.m. in Martin & Castille Funeral Home.
