DAVIS, MELVIN THOMAS, SR.
February 5, 1952 – December 14, 2012

Melvin Thomas Davis Sr., 60, a native of Corpus Christi, TX. and a lifelong 
resident of Morgan City passed away, Friday, December 14, 2012.

Melvin is survived by his two sons, Melvin Thomas Davis Jr. and his fiancé, 
Brittany Thornton, and Chet Davis; one sister, Nora Daigle and her husband, 
Aubrey; one niece and one nephew, Lisa Daigle and Fred Daigle and seven 
grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, Floyd Davis; his mother, Margaret 
Gunter Davis; and one brother, Merlin Davis.

Melvin worked loyally at Pennzoil for over 10 years. He was known as being an 
outspoken individual and a dedicated LSU and Saints Fan.

The family requests that visitation be observed Saturday 22, 2012 from 10am 
until time of dismissal at 11am at Hargrave Funeral Home in Morgan City. 

Graveside Services will take place in the Morgan City Cemetery at 11:30am. 

Pall Bearers to serve will be Melvin Davis, Jr., Jonathan Brown, Gary Ferguson, 
Markam Derouen, Jarvis Davis, and Nolan Chiasson.
