Agnes was born on September 9, 1923 in Morgan City the daughter of Clonie and Evelyn Triche Mayon. She loved spending time with her family, but especially loved spending time with her grandchildren. She also loved cooking for her family. Agnes would always help anyone who was in need and she devoted many hours doing volunteer charity work. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by two children, Rosa Belle Gilmore Gros and husband George of Schriever, Leo Gilmore and wife Suzette of Morgan City; nine grandchildren, Bryan Gros and wife Crystal of Schriever, Melissia Gros Williamson and husband Jeff of Harvey, Travis Gros and wife Kim of Schriever, Blaine Gros of Morgan City, Troy Gilmore and wife Melinda of Morgan City, Chad Gilmore of Morgan City, Kimberly Gilmore Freyoux, of Morgan City, Jamie Lynn Gilmore of Morgan City, Avery Gilmore of New Iberia. She is also survived by nineteen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; three sisters; one brother. She was preceded in death by her husband Murphy J.B. Gilmore Jr.; parents Clonie Mayon and Evelyn Triche Mayon; son, James Gilmore; granddaughter, Bridget Gros; three sisters; two brothers. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, December 7, 2012 at Twin City Funeral Home with Pastors Tommy Fromental and Robert McConathy officiating. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 6, 2012 at Twin City Funeral Home. Visitation will resume from 8:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Friday at the funeral home. Agnes will be laid to rest in the Morgan City Cemetery. ===================
