Verna was born on February 28, 1931 in Morgan City the daughter of Ney and Violet Comeaux Giroir. Verna loved spending time with her family and her dog Noonie Girl. She loved cooking for her family when they were all gathered together. She enjoyed going on road trips, going camping, playing bonco, but most of all loved to go fishing. She enjoyed going to the casino and playing her sizzling seven's! She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her longtime companion, Fabian Joseph Suarez Sr., of Bayou Vista; three children, Tippy Lovell Sr. and wife Laurie of Bayou L'Ourse, Carolyn Lovell Walker and husband Joe of Morgan City, Bonnie Lovell and Dale Duke of Gibson; two daughters-in-law, Elsie Lovell Martin and husband Carol of Stephensville, Alice Lovell of Bayou L'Ourse; two step-sons, Fabian Joseph Suarez Jr. of Opelousas, Fredie Dazor of Patterson. She is also survived by twenty two grandchildren; forty-one great- grandchildren; one brother, Herbert Giroir and wife Edna of Stephensville; two sisters Elizabeth LaCoste of Morgan City, Linda Giroir of Patterson; numerous nieces and nephews. Verna was preceded in death by her parents, Ney John Giroir and Violet Comeaux Giroir; husband, Thomas A. Lovell; two sons, Tommy A. Lovell and Nathan Lovell; one grandson, Will Lovell; three great-grandchildren, Justice Lovell, Ryleigh Walker, Seth Pellegrin; one brother, Irvin Giroir; two sisters, Onelia Lemke, Dorothy Blanco. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at Twin City Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Wednesday at the funeral home with a rosary being prayed at 2:30 p.m. Verna will be laid to rest in the Morgan City Cemetery. ===================
