TROSCLAIR, ABBIE ANTOINE, SR.
Jan. 17, 1929 ~ Dec. 20, 2012

Funeral services will be held Thursday, Dec. 27, 2012, at 2 p.m., at Ibert’s 
Mortuary in Franklin for Mr. Abbie Antoine Trosclair Sr., 83, a native of Houma 
and a longtime resident of Franklin, who passed away Thursday, December 20, 
2012, at 11:52 a.m., at Iberia Medical Center in New Iberia.

Burial will follow in the Perpetual Park Cemetery. 
Father Gregory Cormier will officiate the services.

Mr. Trosclair is survived by his wife, Mary Helen Romero Trosclair of Franklin; 
five sons, Abbie A. Trosclair Jr. of St. Martinville; John A. Trosclair of 
Patterson; Howard J. Trosclair and his wife, Ann, of Centerville; Anthony E. 
Trosclair and his former companion, Gayle Verdin, of Patterson, and Jerry J. 
Trosclair and his wife, Mary Ann, of Franklin; two daughters, Patricia T. Gary 
and her husband, Donald, of New Iberia, and Joyrita T. Guidry and her husband, 
Todd, of Sunset; three brothers, Robert Trosclair and wife his, Eva, of 
Franklin; Percy Trosclair and his wife, Anna Mae, of Franklin; and Ivy 
Trosclair of Franklin; two sisters, Rosemary T. Brasseaux of Franklin and Anna 
May T. Champagne of Franklin; 13 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Laurencia Martin Trosclair; 
one grandson, Wayne Trosclair; four brothers, Calvin Trosclair, Albert 
Trosclair, Murphey Trosclair, and Howard Trosclair; and one sister, Lorena 
Trosclair.

A gathering of family and friends will be held Thursday at Ibert’s Mortuary 
from 11 a.m. until time of service at 2 p.m., with the rosary being prayed at 
1:30 p.m.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jerry Trosclair, John Adam Trosclair, Tony 
Trosclair, Eric Trosclair, Travis Trosclair, and Jerry Trosclair Jr. Posthumous 
honorary pallbearer will be his grandson, Keith Trosclair, who passed away 
tragically on Monday, December 24.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Ibert’s Mortuary, Inc. of Franklin.
