Ricky was born on September 12, 1957 in Morgan City the son of James and Lorena Bonin Barnes. Ricky loved his job of being a boat captain and when he wasn't on the boat you could always find him on his motorcycle. He enjoyed spending time with his friends and family but especially his granddaughters as they were his pride and joy. He was always there for anyone in need and he always lived his life to the fullest. He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his daughter Amy Barnes and son-in-law Jason Rosier of Slidell; two granddaughters, Kelsey and Destiny Barnes both of Slidell; one brother, Barry Barnes and wife, Clarice of Farmerville, Louisiana; one sister, Ericka Barnes of Morgan City; companion, Pattie Vincent of Morgan City; two nieces, Kristie Barnes and Erin Barnes Romero; one sister-in-law Vanda Barnes; his beloved best friend and dog Nico. He is also survived by many lifelong friends and great nieces and nephew. He was preceded in death by his parents James Barnes and Lorena Bonin Barnes; wife, Debbie Barnes; one brother, Terry Barnes Sr.; one nephew, Terry Barnes Jr.; best furry friend Billy Bear. Memorial visitation and service will be held from 5pm until 9pm on Friday, January 25, 2013 at Twin City Funeral Home. ===================
