Mitchell Slayden "Mitch" Gowan a resident of Morgan City passed away January 
29, 2013 in Morgan City at the age of 48.

Mitch was an easy going man, he loved his family beyond any measure of the 
word, he was a devoted husband, father, son and friend, Mitch never meet a 
stranger. He was always willing to lend a helping hand whenever needed. He 
enjoyed LSU, and Saints Football, and the Atlanta Braves.

Mitch is survived by his wife Tonya Blanchard Gowan, his daughter Carly Gowan. 
His parents Gayle and Esther Gowan , brothers Mike and his wife Lisa and Mark 
and his wife Julie Gowan , mother-in law Mary Blanchard , brother-in –law Todd 
and his wife Becky Blanchard, sister-in-law Tess and her husband Robert Van Hoy 
Sr., and sister-in-law (sister) Trina Blanchard. And a host of nieces and 
Nephews.

Mitch was preceded in death by his father-in-law Carroll Blanchard.

Visitation will be Thursday from 1pm until 4 pm at Hargrave Funeral Home. 
Funeral services will be at Hargrave Funeral Home at 4 pm. 

Mitch will be laid to rest in the Morgan City Mausoleum.
