"Bill" Hepler, 96, a resident of Morgan City, passed away Saturday, January 26, 2013 at Teche Regional Medical Center. Bill was born on January 12, 1917 in Biloxi, Mississippi the son of Roy and Odell Creel Hepler. Bill loved spending time with his family but especially loved spending time with his grandchildren. Bill served in the United States Navy during WWII serving time during the Pacific Campaign. He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered two sons Joseph R. Hepler and wife Julia of Morgan City, John Hepler of Lafayette; one son-in-law, George Percle of Morgan City; three grandchildren, Michael Hepler and wife Shanna of Morgan City, LeeAnn Hepler of Patterson, William Hepler and wife Laura Ashley of Austin, Texas; two great-grandchildren, Seth Joseph Hepler and Zoe Rose Hepler; one brother, Ronnie Hepler and wife Sally of Rock Springs, Texas; numerous nieces and nephews. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Roy Hepler and Odell Creel Hepler; wife, Rose Vaccarella Hepler; one daughter, Rose Marie Percle; one brother, Warren Hepler; one sister, Florice Besse. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Visitation will be held from 8:30 a.m. until the time of mass on Tuesday at the church. Bill will be laid to rest in Morgan City Cemetery with Military Honors provided by the East St. Mary Veterans Funeral Squad. ===================
