Mrs. Elvena LaCoste Holt, 88, a native of Bayou Chene, a longtime resident of 
Bayou Vista, and a Patterson Health Care Resident for the last thirteen years 
passed away, Monday, January 21, 2013 at Teche Regional Medical Center.

Elvena loved watching her soap operas, especially The Price is Right. She loved 
plants; her favorite was the Christmas cactus. She also enjoyed vacationing. 

Elvena was the manager at the Kool King (now known as Sonic) in Patterson and 
was Baptist by faith.

Mrs. Elvena was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and 
sister. 

She leaves to cherish her memories three sons, Ronald Holt and his wife, Ozie, 
of Patterson, Clarence "Bubba" Holt and his wife, Deborah, of Berwick, and 
Lefus "Lefty" Holt and his wife, June, of Bayou Vista; one sister, Ellen Falls; 
four brothers, Burlin, Alfred, David, and Donnie LaCoste; nine grandchildren, 
Tana Guidry, Angie Granger, Peggy Clark, Robert Holt, Sabrina Domingue, Jessie 
Vice, Shawn Glorioso, Howard Smith Jr., Denny Paul Smith, Christine Nerger; 
sixteen great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; a host of nieces 
and nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Alexander "Alex" Holt; one son, 
Timothy Holt; her parents, Clarence and Cecilia Aucoin LaCoste, and six 
brothers.

The family requests that visitation be observed Thursday, January 24, 2013 from 
9am until time of services at Hargrave Funeral Home in Morgan City. Funeral 
Services will take place Thursday, January 24th at 11am at Hargrave Funeral 
Home 

with graveside services following in the Morgan City Mausoleum.
