Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 19, 2013, at 12:00 PM at the 
Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses for Mrs. Lorena Derouen Howard, 83, a 
native of Weeks Island and longtime resident of Franklin, who passed away 
Friday, January 11, 2013, at her daughter's home in Pearland, TX. 

Burial will follow in the St. Jules Cemetery.

Ms. Lorena was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and 
friend, and was a faithful servant of Jehovah. 

She leaves to cherish her memories eight children, Priscilla Howard McCall of 
Baton Rouge, Maxine Howard Willis and her husband Mack of Cheneyville, Tanya 
Howard Guss of Franklin, Davenell Howard Crumpton and her husband Arthur of 
Pearland, TX, Davis Howard, Jr. and his wife Cindy of Franklin, Tracey Howard 
Rudolph of Franklin, Michelle Howard Robertson of Franklin, and Dwayde Howard 
of Franklin; one sister, Elva Murray of Franklin; an adopted sister, Doris 
Hardin of Houston, TX; 15 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; as well as a 
host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Davis Howard, Sr.; her parents, 
Armand Derouen and Virginia Pennier Derouen; one sister, Rose Mae Good; one 
brother, Norman Derouen; two grandchildren, Roosevelt Johnson, III and Isaac 
McCall; two sons-in-law, Lonnie McCall and Joel Robertson; and two brothers-in-
law, Damon Murray and Minor Good.

Visitation will be held Saturday at Kingdom Hall from 11:00 AM until time of 
service at 12:00 PM.

Serving as pallbearers will be her grandchildren and family.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Ibert's Mortuary, Inc., 1007 Main Street, 
Franklin, LA
