JENKINS, LOUISIANA 

Louisiana Jenkins, 86, departed this earthly life Tuesday, December 25, 2012 
surrounded by family.

Louisiana was born May 31, 1926 in Centerville to the union of the late Junius 
Isadore and Charlotte Volter Isadore. Louisiana was a faithful member of the 
St. John Baptist Church in Four Corners.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Clarence Jenkins Sr.; one 
son James Jenkins; and one brother, Easton Isadore.

Those who remain to cherish her memories are her five sons and three daughters, 
Clarence Jr., Lawrence, Donald, Joseph (Pamela), Patrick, Cora J. Wiggins, Lou 
Ann Berry and Marie Torres; one brother Colton Isadore, Sr. (Melba); and two 
sisters, Otterie Brister (Lennox) and Jo Ann Marks; her uncle, Alfred Isadore 
Jones Sr., 18 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, 
nephews and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday, January 5, 2013 at St. John 
Baptist Church, Four Corners, with wake service scheduled from 6 p.m. until 9 
p.m. Friday, January 4, 2013. 

Burial will immediately follow the services on Saturday at St. John Cemetery 

under the direction of Gabriel Funeral Home, Port Arthur, Texas and Otis 
Mortuary of Franklin.
