Mary was born in Lawrence County, Mississippi the daughter of Omar H. and Edna Nelson Davis. Mary loved her family very much and loved spending time with them. She enjoyed singing as well as planting flowers in her garden. She was always willing to help people and by doing so she became a member of the Amelia Volunteer Fire Department as well as the Ladies Auxiliary. She was also a member of the Civitan Auxiliary Club and she volunteered at J.S. Aucoin Elementary School for many years. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by two children, Margaret Doucet of Bayou L'Ourse and Danny Nations of Amelia; six grandchildren, Tonya Doucet of Bayou L'Ourse, Casey Hill of Moore, Oklahoma, Cassie Crum of Bayou L'Ourse, Devin Owen of New Hebron, Mississippi, John Michael Nations and Shelby Nations both of Jayess, Mississippi. She is also survived by six great- grandchildren; two brothers, Nelson Davis and Tommy Joe Davis and wife Brenda, all of Monticello, Mississippi; one brother-in-law, Joe Lord of Baskin, Louisiana; numerous nieces and nephews. Mary was preceded in death by her parents Omar H. Davis and Edna Nelson Davis; husband, Harold Nations; one son, Michael Wayne Nations; one brother, Thomas Carroll Davis; one sister, Elaine Lord. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 9, 2012 at Twin City Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 8, 2012 at Twin City Funeral Home. Visitation will resume from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Wednesday at the funeral home. Mary will be laid to rest in the Morgan City Cemetery. ===================
