Libby was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church. She worked for the City of Morgan City Tourist Information Center, and had a deep love for her community, Libby was a member of the Morgan City chapter of the AARP where she served on the board of directors. Libby was survived by her two sons S.J. "Jay" Morell Jr. and his wife Gwen Simon Morell, Steve Morell and wife Shelley Bonner Morell, her grandchildren Shelly Morell Sykes and her husband Gary, Mark Morell and his wife Maurita Lafleur Morell, and Matthew Joseph Morell. Great grandchildren Brett, and Jillian Morell. She is also survived by her dog Greta and her cat Minnie. Libby was preceded in death by her husband S.J. "Slick" Morell Sr., one sister Lena Landry Vidos, her brother Dale Landry and Nephew Kevin Vidos. The family of Libby would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to all her care givers for all their devotion and kindness. Visitation will be observed Tuesday January 8, 2013 from 9 until 11 am, at holy cross catholic. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at Holy Cross Catholic Church at 11 am. Libby will be laid to rest in the Morgan City Cemetery. ===================
