Funeral services will be conducted for Thomas Hebert Rochon Sr., 91, on Wednesday, January 16, 2013, at 1 p.m., at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church with Father Mark Derise officiating. Entombment will follow in Holy Family Mausoleum. Visitation will be Wednesday, January 16, 2013 from 8 a.m. until services. A rosary will be prayed in the funeral home at 11:30 a.m. A native of Olivier and a resident of New Iberia, Mr. Rochon died on Saturday, January 12, 2013 at 5:30 a.m., at his residence. He retired after 45 years of employment with Morton Chemical. He is survived by his wife of 72 years, Iona Pellerin Rochon of New Iberia; his sons, James R. Rochon and his wife, Sylvia, of Carencro; Jules V. Rochon and his wife, Maria, of San Antonio, Texas; and Thomas H. Rochon Jr. and his wife, Jonie, of New Iberia; his daughters, Evelyn Theresa Broussard of New Iberia; Kathleen S. DeRouen and her husband, Joseph T., of Youngsville; and Sharon Pellerin and her husband, J. R. Jr., of Lake Charles; and his daughter-in-law, Mary Bertha Rochon of New Iberia. He is also survived by two half-brothers; 14 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Guilbert Rochon Sr. and Ethel Senette Olivier; his sons, Clyde, Calvin M. and Thomas Gary Rochon; his brother, Peter Rochon and his half-brother Guilbert Rochon Jr. Pallbearers will be Thomas Rochon Jr., Cory Broussard, James R. Pellerin Jr., James R. Rochon, Guy A. Pellerin and Joseph T. DeRouen Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be Rusty Broussard, John E. Broussard II, Sean P. Rochon and Justin W. Rochon.
