Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/stmary/obits/dateobits/2013/sm1301.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== A Mass of Christian burial will be held Monday, January 14, 2013, at 11:00 AM at the Church of the Assumption for Ms. Rose Cali Sanzone, 100, a native of Patterson and a resident of Franklin for the past 45 years, who passed away Friday, January 11, 2013, at the Franklin Health Care Center. Burial will follow in the Franklin Cemetery. Father Lloyd Benoit will officiate the services. Ms. Rose was born and raised in Patterson. After graduating from Patterson High School, she moved to Chicago where she met and married Peter Sanzone. In the 1960's, they moved back to St. Mary Parish, settling in Franklin. She was a longtime member of the Church of the Assumption, as well as the Catholic Daughters Court Assumption and the Ladies Altar Society of the Church of the Assumption. Survivors include one nephew, Frank Cali, Sr. and his wife Wilda of Patterson; three nieces, Jo Ann C. Sinitiere and her husband Ken of Franklin, Lorena Ledoux and her husband Iray of Baton Rouge, and Mary Populus of Denham Springs; as well as numerous great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Peter Sanzone; her parents, Francisco Cali and Luciano Carro Cali; four brothers, Carlo Cali, Cosimo Cali, John Cali, and Luke Cali; three sisters, Mary C. Listi, Josephine C. Deluca, and Loretta C. Cruthird; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. A gathering of family and friends will be held Monday at the Church of the Assumption from 9:00 AM until Mass time at 11:00 AM, with the rosary being prayed at 10:00 AM, led by the Catholic Daughters and Ladies Altar Society. Serving as pallbearers will be Frank "Chip" Cali, Jr., Russell Leonard, John Serra, Jr., and Frank Musso.
