Rosa Margarita Vernal Villalobos, 75, a native of Iquique, Chile and a resident 
of Amelia for over 41 years, passed away, Sunday January 27, 2013 at the Morgan 
City Health Care Center.

Rosa is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Rolando S. Villalobos; one 
son, Rolando A. Villalobos and his wife, Edith Villalobos; two granddaughters, 
Erin and Rian Villalobos; two brothers, Carlos Edwardo, and Jorge Geraldo; and 
two sisters, Graciela Vernal and Mery Claudia.

She was preceded in death by her father, Timateo V. Garate; her mother, Maria 
A. Quevedo; and seven brothers and sisters.

Rosa was a hard worker having worked loyally at Burger King for 21 dedicated 
years. An avid Saints fan, she was known for watching wrestling and soaps. Rosa 
was an amazing wife, mother and grandmother. She will be missed by all who knew 
and loved her.

The family requests that visitation be observed Saturday, February 2, 2013 from 
11am until time of dismissal at 12 noon at St. Andrew Catholic Church in 
Amelia. 

Graveside services will follow in the St. Andrew Church Cemetery in Amelia.
