Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/stmary/obits/dateobits/2013/sm1302.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== A Mass of Christian burial will be held Saturday, February 16, 2013, at 11:00 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Centerville for Mr. Harold G. Clausen, Sr., 74, a native and lifelong resident of Verdunville, who passed away Monday, February 11, 2013, at 11:05 PM at Teche Regional Medical Center in Morgan City. Burial will follow in the St. Joseph Cemetery. Father Ruben Primor will officiate the services. Harold was co-owner and operator of Clausen General Merchandise in Verdunville. In his early years he enjoyed coaching Biddy Basketball and interacting with the youth and young adults. Harold was also formerly on the St. Mary Parish Council, serving as President and as a Councilman for many years. He was also a Third Degree Knight of the Knights of Columbus, Centerville Council #4309. Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Evelyn Stanzel Clausen; their six children, Melinda Sanford and her husband John, Harold Clausen Jr. and his wife Robin Kilpatrick, Elizabeth Pike and her husband Chris, Melanie Gray and her husband Tony, Monica Alphonso and her husband Luke, and Ryan Clausen; four brothers, Everette Clausen, Calvin Clausen, Wilrod Clausen, and Donald Clausen; one sister, Josephine Clausen Wiese; and thirteen grandchildren, Taylor, Sarah, Devin , TR, Luke, Connor, Adam, Emily, Nick, Sabrina, Lauren, Laura, and Jeffrey. He was preceded in death by his parents, John B. Clausen and Ida Drago Clausen; and one brother, Louis Clausen. A gathering of family and friends will be held Friday at Ibert's Mortuary in Franklin from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, with the rosary being prayed at 7:00 PM. Visitation will continue Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Centerville from 9:00 AM until time of Mass at 11:00 AM.
