A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in St. Bridget Catholic Church in Lawtell for Joseph Comeaux, 84, who passed away Sunday, Feb. 3, 2013, at his residence in Eunice. Interment will be in St. Bridget Cemetery in Lawtell. The Rev. Ted Broussard, pastor of St. Bridget Catholic Church, will officiate at the services. Mr. Comeaux is a native of Church Point and a resident of Eunice. He was a member of the VFW in Port Barre. Survivors include one son, Craig Comeaux and his wife, Georgetta, of Houston; one daughter, Lynne C. Dill of LaPlace; one sister, Betty Stewart of Nederland, Texas; six grandchildren, Barrett Dill, Christopher Comeaux, Samantha Comeaux, Brant Dill, Brennan Dill and Zachary Comeaux; and two great-grandchildren, Jaxon and Aubrey Comeaux. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alceé Comeaux and the former Elizabeth Richard; one brother, Louis Comeaux; four sisters, Elta Guillory, Esther Faul, Nora Lebouef and Clara Quiban; one son-in-law, David A. Dill III; and one grandson, David A. Dill IV. A rosary will be prayed at a time pending Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2013, at the funeral home. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 5 to 10 p.m. Tuesday and continue from 8 a.m. until the service time on Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Veteran’s Administration Hospital in Alexandria.
