Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/stmary/obits/dateobits/2013/sm1302.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== A Mass of Christian burial will be held Friday, February 22, 2013, at 11:00 AM at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Baldwin for Mrs. Mary Joyce Hebert DeMahy, 69, a native and longtime resident of Franklin and a recent resident of Baldwin, who passed away Tuesday, February 19, 2013, at her home. Burial will follow in the Sacred Heart Cemetery Mausoleum. Father Gregory Cormier will officiate the services. Mary Joyce was full of life. Her passion was spending time with her family. In her early years, she worked for the St. Mary Bank and Trust Co. In 1986 she left the bank and went to work for the St. Mary Parish School Board as a bus driver, where she remained for 20 years, until retiring in 2006. Survivors include her husband, Joseph DeMahy of Baldwin; one daughter, Priscilla Granger Fontenot and her husband Chuck of Fort Worth, TX; one son, Scott Granger and his wife Angie of Youngsville; four grandchildren, Mallory Fontenot of Sioux Falls, SD, Chas Fontenot of Fort Worth, TX, and Brandon and Coby Granger of Youngsville; two brothers, James Hebert of Biloxi, MS and Herman Hebert of Franklin; three step-children; and six step-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Emmet Joseph Hebert, Sr. and Reba Chauvin Hebert; and three siblings, Emmet Joseph Hebert, Jr., Priscilla Hebert, and Harvey Hebert. A gathering of family and friends will be held Friday at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church from 9:00 AM until time of Mass at 11:00 AM, with the rosary being prayed at 10:30 AM. Serving as pallbearers will be Brandon Granger, Tommy Hebert, Beau Hebert, River Hebert, Austin Hebert, and Joshua Trimm. Honorary pallbearers will be Chas Fontenot, Coby Granger, and Justin Trimm. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made in honor of Mary Joyce's grandson, Chas Fontenot, to Defeat Autism Now, at American Autism Association, 192 Lexington Avenue, Suite 245, New York, NY 10016.
