Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/stmary/obits/dateobits/2013/sm1302.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== Ronnie Joseph Morgan Sr., 63, a lifelong resident of Morgan City passed away, Friday, February 1, 2013 at his residence. Ronnie, a dedicated and hard worker, was employed with Lafayette Electrical for four years. While employed there, Ronnie also worked with the St. Mary Parish Coroner's Office as an Investigator for over 15 years. Ronnie previously worked with Teche Regional Medical Center, where he handled the Security portion of that facility; a place he loyally served for over 16 years. He had an immense love for his vehicles, which he was known for keeping in immaculate condition. He also held a deep fondness for his beloved dog, Gizmo. Ronnie never met a person that didn't instantly like him. A loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend, Ronnie will be sadly missed by all whose lives he touched. Ronnie is survived by his loving wife of 21 years, Jacalyn "Jackie" Douglass Morgan; five children, Ronnie Morgan Jr., Sammy Morgan, Melissa Hidalgo and her husband, Robert, Jenna Gros, and Claire LaCoste; nine grandchildren, Myles, Brittany, Sammy II, Jayson, Devin, Taylor, Emilee, Riley, and Braelyn; numerous great grandchildren; one brother, James "Jimmy" Morgan and his wife, Joann; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Louis Morgan; his mother, Theresa Tourera Morgan; and an infant son. Visitation for Ronnie will be held Tuesday, February 5, 2013 from 6:00pm to 10:00pm at Hargrave Funeral Home in Morgan City. Visitation will resume Wednesday, February 6, 2013 from 8:00am until time of dismissal at 9:30am at Hargrave Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at 10am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Morgan City. Graveside services will follow in the Morgan City Cemetery. ===================
