She was a native of Morgan City and a resident of Santa Rosa, Calif. She was 69 years old. She was a registered nurse by trade and was nursing director for the emergency room at the former Lakewood Hospital for many years. After retiring from nursing, she became involved in a variety of projects and hobbies, and was even a master gardener. She is survived by her husband, Dr. Daniel J. Rhoades of California; her brothers, Sidney J. Raymond and his wife, Elnora “Nonnie” and Michael L. Raymond Sr. and his wife, Katherine “Kay;” eight nieces and nephews, Cheryl Raymond Blanchard and her husband, Ronnie, Peggy Raymond Opiela and her husband, Johnny, Ginny Raymond and her significant other, Don Hebert, Tina Raymond Crews and her husband, Rodney, Rhonda Raymond Dennis and her husband, Doyle, Heather Raymond Blair and her husband Bo, Michael Raymond Jr. and Ray Raymond and his wife, Amy. She also is survived by 14 great-nieces and great- nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond John Raymond and Mary Macalusa Raymond; and her brother, Andrew Gene Raymond. She will be honored with a private family ceremony at a later date. ===================
