Walker, Sr., age 70, a native and a resident of Morgan City, La., died Friday, February 8, 2013 at his residence at 7:15 AM. Visitation will be at New Zorah Baptist Church in Morgan City, Saturday, February 16, 2013 from 9:00 AM until funeral service at 11:00 AM. Burial will be in the Morgan City Cemetery. Warren leaves to cherish and carry on his memories; his loving wife of 31 years, Elizabeth Walker of Morgan City, La., two sons, Warren M, Walker, Jr., of Carencro, La., and Deon R. Chambers of Chicago, IL; five daughters, Candi (Clovis) Walker of Dallas, TS., Annette M Hammond of Savannah, GA., Delia C. Walker of Morgan City, La., Lateshia Koonc & Shabonnie Sheppard both of Chicago, IL; three sisters, Bertha Mann Chenevert and Sally (Apostle Sherman) Ledet both of Morgan City, La; and Patricia (Ronald) Stewart, Sr., of Baton Rouge, La; one sister-in-law, Barbara Walker; special recognition to Jasmine N. Kelly, his best friend, James (Mary) Thomas; twenty grandchildren, Shakeithy (Jermaine), Travis, Marcell (Jasmine), Chelsea, Naketia, Issac, Aubriana, Deondre, Deonna, Danisha, Warren, Tywuan, David, Tyonna, Davion, Marcus, Jariel, Malihia, Brooklyn & Kilah Claresia; two great grandchildren, J'Viontae & Jayvion; along with a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Warren (Smokey) M. Walker, Sr., was preceded in death by his father, Junious Walker, Sr., his mother, Patricia J. Walker, two brothers, Junious "Billy" Walker, III and Charles "C.W."
