Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/stmary/obits/dateobits/2013/sm1303.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== Donald “Ducky” Boatman Sr. departed his earthly home on Thursday, March 14, 2013 with his family by his side at 7:15 PM in Franklin, Louisiana. Visitation will be Saturday, March 23, 2013 at the Crossing Place Fellowship, 1096 Northwest Blvd., Franklin, La., from 10:00 AM until funeral service at 1:00 PM. Burial will be in the Pecot Street Cemetery in Franklin, La. Ducky was born and raised in Franklin, Louisiana to Louvinia Boatman and Herman Madison Sr. on September 25, 1954. Ducky was educated in St. Mary Parish. He was baptized at an early age at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Franklin, he rededicated his life to Christ in 2010 at the Lighthouse Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Allen R. Randle Sr.. Upon the onset of his illness he was employed with St. Mary Parish Government. Ducky will be remembered for his smile, peaceful spirit, jokes, and his great passion for the “Dallas Cowboys.” Cherishing the fond memories are his father, Herman Madison Sr. of Beaumont, TX; two daughters: Chantel Colbert(Claude Sr.) of Franklin, LA and Tiaes Brown (Stanley) of The Colony, TX and one son: Donald Boatman Jr. of New Iberia, LA. His maternal siblings: Janice Holmes (Quinton) of Mansfield, TX, Carolyn McDaniel (Johnell), Debra Faye Spain (Charles), and Pamela Jones (Jospeh) of Franklin, LA. His paternal siblings: Suzette Madison, Marie Madison Johnson, Toni Madison, Renee Madison, Amanda Madison, Kristy Madison, Torrey Madison, Vivian Madison, Hubert Madison, Conroy Madison, Herman Madison, Charles Madison, Donald Ray Madison, and Duke Madison. He is also survived by one aunt, Audrey Reed of Port Arthur, TX and one uncle, Robert Reed of Gretna, LA; five grand-children, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother: Louvinia B. Roberson, four sisters: Betty Pearson, Elaine Boatman, Patricia R. Gibson, and Lois Madison; and one nephew, Quinton “Nuke” Holmes Jr. ===================
