He was born and raised in Amelia, LA by his parents Lynwood and Joan Cooper Breaux. He met Barbara J. LeBoeuf in 8th grade and then on April 8, 1972, married his high school sweetheart and soul mate. Alan was a devoted and compassionate friend and husband to Barbara for 48 years. Together they had two children, Michelle and Alan, and was the greatest daddy a child could have ever dreamed of having. He was truly a role model. He is survived by his loving wife Barbara L. Breaux, daughter Michelle Breaux Stansbury and son-in-love Jack Stansbury Jr., Son Alan A. Breaux and daughter- in-love Heather Herman Breaux. His greatest pride was his grandchildren. He loved each and everyone equally, completely, and unconditionally. His grandkids Ashlyn Reaux, Caitlyn Reaux, Kayla Stansbury-Dice, Katherine "Katie" Stansbury, Jacob Andrew Stansbury, Joshua Alan Stansbury, Ali Breaux, Payton Andrew Breaux, Molli Breaux, and Eli John Breaux will forever have a guardian angel; And his 14 year old, four- legged companion and best buddy, Paco, will be lost without him. He is also survived by his sisters Judy (Sonny) Pennison and Lynn Marie Pierron. Brothers- in-law Jimmy (Cheryl) LeBoeuf, Tommy LeBoeuf, and Douglas Aucoin. Sisters-in- law Madge (Terry) LaCoste, Elizabeth "Lou" Leedom, and Shirley LeBoeuf. Along with a host of nieces and nephews including 13 godchildren and many who looked to him as Papa Alan. He is preceded in death by his parents and grandparents, two sisters Theresa Williams and Ruth Aucoin, Brother-in-law Perry Williams, Raymond LeBoeuf and Dan Leedom, Nephew Vince Pennison and Nieces Danielle Pennison and Victoria Leedom. He was a proud and loving family man. He was not only a Husband, Daddy, and Papa but a best friend to all of us. He was truly a hero in our eyes. He was a selfless, great-hearted person that never met a stranger. He took great pride in the American Cancer Society and enjoyed helping others. One of his greatest adventures was a trip to his mother's homeland of Chestershire, England with his mom and sisters. He loved his family and friends! He loved to eat and loved gatherings of any kind! He loved to be in the boat, fishing, hunting, and being at the camp. Our Dad has touched many lives and will be missed so very much, but he is now home in God's Kingdom and will forever watch down on us with a perfect heart. To know him was to love him, and to be loved by him, was a true blessing. Visitation will be Thursday, March 28, 2013 at Twin City Funeral Home in Morgan City from 11 am until 6 pm with a Special Celebration of Life Service by Pastor Terrell Reed at 6 pm. Our family would like to thank the medical staff at Leaonard J. Charbert Hospital and Thibodaux Regional Medical Center for taking such great care of our loved one. Although Alan was a simple man with a simple life, he left behind many treasures and gifts that will carry on forever. He requested that the service be VERY casual dress. ===================
