Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/stmary/obits/dateobits/2013/sm1303.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== Natalia Graham Dean, 88, a native of Laurel, MS. and a resident of Morgan City, passed away Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at her residence. She is survived by two daughters, Sandra Ratcliff and her husband, Ronald Ratcliff Sr., of Morgan City, and Linda Dean of Bakersfield, CA; four grandchildren, Rhonda Ratcliff Gurinsky and her husband, Charlie of San Antonio, TX., Ronald Ratcliff Jr. and his wife, Monique of Berwick, Hope Tillman of Backersfield, CA., and Jeannine Landry also of Bakersfield, CA.; great grandchildren Jennifer Carter, Nathan, Rachel, Sylvan Gurinsky, Rustin, Reise, Rhett Ratcliff, Anthony Juneau, Valerie, Christopher, Patrick, Joshua Parsons, Brian, Briley Tilman, and four great-great grandchildren. Natalia is preceded in death by her husband Thomas Dean, her parents and her granddaughter Kimberly Ann Ratcliff. She retired from the St. Mary Parish School Board after many years of teaching and serving as a guidance counselor. Mrs. Dean also taught at Central Catholic. She was the owner and therapist of Dean's Counseling Service. Mrs. Dean was actively involved in her community. She was a life-member and past president of The Morgan City Garden Club. She was a past board member of the Community Concert and she also sponsored several walk-a-thons to assist children with disabilities. Mrs. Dean was a longtime member of the Morgan City Republican Women Club as well as an elected official to the Louisiana State Central Republican Committee for at least 3 terms. She also received an AARP Citizen of the Month Award. Visitation will be Thursday at Pharr Chapel from 10 am until 3 pm. Services will begin at 3 pm at Pharr Chapel. Natalia will be laid to rest in the Morgan City Cemetery. ===================
