Roland Bertrand Dias Sr., 91, died on Sunday, March 10, 2013 at his home in Pierre Part. He spent his lifetime working in the farming industry until his retirement as President of Oaklawn Sugar Co. in 1984. He worked as a land manager and consultant for Allain-LeBreton and Giles and Dupuy until his retirement in 2012. He continued to work as a land manager for Adeline Investment Properties. Throughout his lifetime he was an avid hunter, fisherman, and gardener. He enjoyed spending time with his family and most of all being surrounded by his great grandchildren. He is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Rosalind Dias and Gerald Theriot of Pierre Part; son and daughter-in-law, Teresa and Roland Bernard Dias Jr. of Napoleonville; five loving grandchildren, Roland “Polie” Dias III and wife, Joni; Dr. John Theriot and wife, Jeannie; Michael Dias and wife, Christina; Carmen Theriot Allen and husband, Christopher; and Mark Theriot and fiancée, Nicole Migues; and 11 adored great grandchildren, Alyssa Allen, Lauren Allen, Hudson Dias, Karrigan Migues, Colin Theriot, Owen Dias, Cameron Migues, Londyn Theriot, Colleen Dias, Ryder Dias, and Mae Dias. Mr. Dias was preceded in death by his wife, Heloise Blanchard Dias; parents, Adam Dias and Catherine Acosta Dias; four brothers, Leroy Dias, Eston Dias, Leston Dias, and Leslie Dias; sister, Lacey Acosta; grandchild, Joey Dias; and great grandchild, Maggie Dias. Pallbearers will be Roland “Polie” Dias III, Mark Theriot, Dr. John Theriot, Christopher Allen, Michael Dias, and Patrick Rodriguez. The family would like to give a special thank you to St. Joseph Hospice for their loving care. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. and will resume on Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at 7:00 a.m. - 9:45 a.m. at Ourso Funeral Home in Pierre Part. Mass of Christian Burial to follow at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church Hall in Pierre Part at 10:00 a.m. Entombment to follow St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church mausoleum in Pierre Part. ===================
