A certified gun instructor, he also enjoyed hunting and taking his grandchildren fishing, especially with Brandy, Alexa and Lambert, who were known as his favorite fishing partners. Just as much as he enjoyed fishing, he also enjoyed his wife's good cooking. His wife fondly remembers how Gerald never removed his wedding band, a true mark of a perfect husband. "You couldn't find a sweeter man if you tried!" his wife, Jennie stated before adding, "but most importantly, he was honest. He hated lies." To put it simply, Gerald was a trustworthy husband, father, grandfather, and friend, a person who knew the true meaning of love. A time of remembrance will be held for Gerald on Sunday, March 24th at 10am until time of services at 2pm at Hargrave Funeral Home in Morgan City. The funeral home will reopen for visitation Monday, March 25th at 9am with dismissal at 9:45am followed by graveside services in the Morgan City Cemetery where Gerald will be laid to rest. ===================
