Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/stmary/obits/dateobits/2013/sm1303.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, March 24, 2013, at 5:30 p.m. at New Zora Baptist Church, 604 Julia St., Morgan City, for Ms. Audrey Mae Jones, 71, who passed away Thursday, March 14, 2013, at Teche Regional Medical Center. On Monday, March 25, 2013, at 10 a.m. she will be interred in Trinity UMC Cemetery in Baldwin. The services will be officiated by Rev. Terry L. Joseph, Pastor of New Zora Baptist Church. Ms. Jones was called to her eternal resting place Thursday, March 14, 2013, following a brief illness. She was born to the late James Jones and Virginia Vardin Jones on March 29, 1941. Audrey attended school at Willow Street High. She accepted Christ at an early age and was a proud member of New Zora Baptist Church and served as a dedicated usher. She enjoyed her family, friends and helping others. She always opened her heart and home to everyone in need. She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Virginia Faye Johnson; one grandson, Roosevelt “Bundy” Johnson III; and one sister, Marguerite Milton Hartman. Audrey is gone but will never be forgotten by those mourning, yet cherishing her precious intimate memories are devoted companion Darrel Trim of Morgan City; four daughters, Florinda Weber (Melvin Jackson) of Morgan City, Toni Jones (Eric Barnes), Kim Johnson (Emmanuel) and Crystal Johnson (Gregory Holmes), all of Baton Rouge; and four sons, Roosevelt Johnson (Christine) of Jeanerette, and Alfred Johnson, David Johnson and Leonard “Eat-um-up” Johnson (Avis), all of Baton Rouge. Audrey also leaves two sisters, Myrtle Mitchell (James) of San Diego, Calif., and Barbara Patrick (Wilbert) of Baldwin; two brothers, Eldrige Kelly of Baldwin and James Jones (Acqueline) of Cocoa Beach, Fla.; 26 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. Viewing will be Sunday, March 24, 2013, at 3:30 p.m. until the time of service at New Zora Baptist Church. Kinchen Funeral Home Inc. of Lafayette is in charge of final arrangements. ===================
