Ralph Joseph Labit, 72, a native of Houma and resident of Bayou Blue, died 
Sunday, March 10, 2013.

Visitation was from 9 a.m. until the funeral time Saturday, March 16, 2013, at 
Samart Funeral Home in Houma. The funeral service was at noon Saturday, March 
16, 2013, at the funeral home 

with burial in Rogers Cemetery in Houma.

He is survived by his sons, Paul Labit and his wife, Rachel, Timothy J. Labit 
and Michael Labit; a daughter, Donna North and husband, Marvin; his brothers, 
Roy, Francis, Philip and Larry Labit; grandchildren, Perry J. Boudreaux Jr., 
Christen Castillo, Justin North, Monica Labit, Junior Albuquerque, Dustin Labit 
and Alyssa Labit; and great-grandchildren, Cade LeBlanc, Mia Boudreaux, Tyler 
North, Madalyn North, Natalie North and Lily Marie Boudreaux.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Dianne Rogers Labit; his parents, Leon P. 
Labit Sr. and Marie Dubois Labit Breaux; two sons, John Mark and Sammy Joseph 
Labit; his brothers, Davis, Joseph, Leon Jr. and Johnny Labit; and two sisters, 
Gloria Gaston and Betty Steele.

He was a very loving husband, father and friend to all, but his greatest love 
was for his Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ.

Samart Funeral Home of Houma is handling arrangements.
