A Mass of Christian burial will be held Thursday, March 14, 2013, a 2:00 PM at 
the Church of the Assumption for Mrs. Iris Doiron LaJaunie, 84, a native of 
Labadieville and a longtime resident of Franklin, who passed away Friday, March 
8, 2013, at 8:44 AM at Franklin Foundation Hospital. 

Burial will follow in the Franklin Cemetery. 
Father Lloyd Benoit will officiate the services.

Survivors include by her son, Emmet P. LaJaunie, Jr. and his wife Pricella D. 
LaJaunie of New Orleans; three grandchildren; one step grandchild; one great 
grandchild; and one step great grandchild.

She is also survived by her brother, Howard J. Doiron of Franklin; and her 
sister, Dorothy D. Adams of Baton Rouge.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Emmet P. LaJaunie, Sr., her parents, 
Adrien Doiron and Florence Vicknair Doiron, her brothers, C.J. Doiron, Clarence 
L. Doiron, Adrien Doiron, Jr.; her sister, Doris D. May; as well as another 
sibling, Aurelien Doiron, who died in infancy.

A gathering of family and friends will be held Thursday at Ibert's Mortuary 
from 10:00 AM until time of dismissal at 1:30 PM.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Ibert's Mortuary, Inc., 1007 Main Street, 
Franklin, LA
