Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/stmary/obits/dateobits/2013/sm1303.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== Charlie was born in Franklin but was a life long resident of Morgan City and passed away on Friday, March 1, 2013 at Ochsner Foundation Hospital in New Orleans, Louisiana. Charlie is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Linda Domangue Stephens of Morgan City; one daughter, Angela Stephens LeBlanc and her husband, John of Mandeville; three sons: Charles "Bubba" Stephens of Morgan City, Chad Stephens and his wife, Mario, and Timothy "Timmy" Stephens of Morgan City. Charlie also leaves behind his six grandchildren, Ali, Hannah and John Paul LeBlanc of Mandeville, Brynn Stephens, Noah and Mia Stephens of Stephensville. He is also survived by one brother, George Stephens and his wife, Leslie of North Carolina and two sisters: Patricia Stephens Jett and her husband, Terry of Missouri and Maxine Stephens Boudreaux of Arkansas. Charlie leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, dear friends and extended family. Charlie was preceded in death by his parents, George and Vivian Charpentier Stephens of Morgan City and his brother-n-law Michael Domangue. Charlie devoted all of his work life to the oilfield industry. In 1987, he helped establish the company, Power Specialties where he worked until his death. Charlie also served in the U.S. Army with the National Guard. Charlie will always be remembered as a wonderful, fun loving, and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He was an advent outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. He will be missed greatly by all who knew him. The family request that visitation be observed Monday, March 4, 2013 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Twin City Funeral Home in Morgan City and resume on Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at 9am until the time of the service. The funeral services for Charlie will begin at 11:00 a.m. Graveside services will follow at the M.C. Cemetery with the East St. Mary Veterans Funeral Squad rendering military honors ===================
