Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/stmary/obits/dateobits/2013/sm1303.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== Joachin Thibodeaux, a native of Whiteville and a resident of Patterson for the past 28 years, passed away Tuesday, March 19, 2013 at Teche Regional Medical Center in Morgan City. Joachin is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Barbara Brasseaux Thibodeaux of Patterson; five children, Blane Thibodeaux and his wife, Linda, of Berwick, Michael Thibodeaux of Patterson, Melisa Thibodeaux Faulk and her husband, Lydell, of Patterson, Charles Thibodeaux and his wife, Linda, of Mobile, AL., and Peggy Thibodeaux and her husband, Patrick, of Morgan City; 15 grandchildren, B.J. , Allen, Lindsey, Traci, Tiffany, Micah, Jamie, Tara, Ashley, Jonathan, Charles Jr. "T-man", Kayla, Hannah, Lela, and Sara, 28 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, David Thibodeaux and Inez Eunice Leger Thibodeaux; two brothers and three sisters. A hard worker, Joachin was an excellent provider. He always took care of the family he adored. Joachin also showered his beloved pets, Tiny and Sprinkles, with affection and love. Able to play the accordion, Joachin was known for his love of French music and his ability to cook, especially roast and gumbo. His cooking would bring all his family eagerly together to share in a meal. Not only skilled in music and cooking, Joachin had a favorite outdoor hobby of vegetable gardening, especially with lima beans. His family greatly remembers Joachin's his dry sense of humor and the fact that while passing a good time, he was known for having a good remark for every conversation. A special man, Joachin will be missed by his wife and children as well as all whose lives he touched. The family requests that a time of remembrance be observed Friday, March 22, 2013 from 9am until time of services at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Patterson with a rosary being prayed at 12noon. A Mass of Christian burial will be held Friday, March 22nd at 1pm at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Donovan Labbe officiating. Burial will follow Ibert's Memorial Park Cemetery in Patterson. ===================
