Mrs. Eloise was born in Franklin on December 21, 1919, the youngest of five children, to the late Rudolph Naquin and Agatha Olivier Naquin. During World War II, she met her husband to be, Thomas A. Tutela, Jr., while he was serving in the Army and stationed in Franklin at the German Prisoner Camp. They were married on February 14, 1946 and shortly after the war moved to Summerville, Massachusetts, where they lived for 42 years. While in Summerville, they were blessed with a daughter, Carolyn Ann, their only child. In 1987 they moved back to Franklin where she has resided ever since. Mrs. Eloise was a loving wife, mother, sister, and aunt. She was a devout member of the Church of the Assumption in Franklin and was a member of the Ladies Altar Society. She always had a smile on her face and kind words to say. She will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her. Survivors include her daughter, Carolyn Ann Tutela; one sister-in-law, Louise Leccese; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas A. Tutela, Jr.; her three brothers, Murphy, Sterling, and Clarence Naquin; and her sister, Leola Naquin Watkins. A gathering of family and friends will be held Friday at the Church of the Assumption from 10:30 AM until Mass time at 2:00 PM, with the rosary being prayed at 1:15 PM.
