A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Monday, April 29, 2013, at 11:00 
AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Centerville for Ruth Thibodaux Chauvin, 91, 
a native of Franklin and longtime resident of Centerville, who passed away 
Thursday, April 25, 2013, at 7:29 AM at the Franklin Health Care Center. 

Interment will follow in the St. Joseph Cemetery. Father Ruben Primor will be 
the celebrant for the Mass.

In her earlier years, Mrs. Ruth enjoyed gardening and dancing. She was a member 
of the Mardi Gras Krewe of Agmaroil. Her true passion in life though was her 
family, treasuring time spent time with her children, grandchildren, great 
grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.

Survivors include four children, Peggy C. Jones, Manly S. Chauvin, Jr. and his 
wife Rhonda, Sandra C. Duval and her husband Terry, and Summar Chauvin; as well 
as numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, step 
grandchildren, step great grandchildren, step great great grandchildren, 
nieces, and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Manly S. "Wine" Chauvin, Sr.; four 
children, Gerald Anthony "Jerry" Chauvin, David Joseph Chauvin, Charlene Mary 
Chauvin, and Michael Paul Chauvin; her parents, Emile and Elda Daigle 
Thibodaux; seven siblings, Clarence Thibodaux, E. J. Thibodaux, Milton 
Thibodaux, Roy Thibodaux, Harold Thibodaux, Una Poimbeouf, and Suzy Thibodaux 
(infant); and two infant grandchildren, Jeffery and Heath.

A gathering of family and friends will be held Monday at Ibert's Mortuary in 
Franklin from 9:00 AM until time of dismissal at 10:30 AM.

Serving as pallbearers will be Walter Pete Jones, Christian Chauvin, Kenneth 
Saintes, James Saintes, Derrick Saintes, and Zachary Saintes. Honorary 
pallbearers will be Josh Gentry, Kevin Duval, Justin Jones, Slade Lopez, Dylan 
Lopez, and Slade Saintes.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Ibert's Mortuary, Inc., 1007 Main Street, 
Franklin, LA
